I love to bring leaves & flowers from my yard inside, but I don’t love the bugs that come with them. How can I keep the bugs away without using toxins?

Place the leaves or cut flowers in a jumbo Ziploc bag.  Freeze them for about 20-25 minutes. This will stun the bugs. When you remove them from the freezer, shake the leaves or flowers gently and the bugs will fall to the bottom of the bag.  Empty the bugs into your garden.  Roses hold up well to this process.
