Recharging After Holiday Entertaining
After weeks of holiday entertaining and planning, I make it a priority to recharge in realistic, manageable ways. As much as I love hosting and creating special moments, I’ve realized that taking time for myself afterward isn’t just a luxury—it’s essential.
One of my favorite ways to unwind is with a warm bath using my homemade bath salt recipe. It’s quick and easy to make, and the calming scents of lavender or eucalyptus create a spa-like escape right at home. Even if I only have 20 minutes, a soak in the tub helps me relax and reset.
Since life can be busy, I look for simple ways to recharge that fit into my routine. Sometimes it’s enjoying a quiet cup of tea before the day starts, listening to a podcast while folding laundry, or turning a quick shower into a mini escape with a scented scrub or shower steamer.
I’ve learned that small, intentional rituals make a big difference in helping me feel refreshed and ready for what’s next. Whether it’s journaling for a few minutes, organizing a drawer, or stepping outside for some fresh air, these little acts of self-care keep me balanced.
I hope you’ll take time to recharge too. Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish—it’s how we show up as our best selves for the people we love. After the holidays, these simple moments help me start the new year feeling grounded, and I hope they’ll do the same for you!
